About Jaime
Jaime Carias grew up in South Central Los Angeles, the son of Guatemalan immigrants and a first-generation college student, an English learner with a stutter that made raising his hand in class feel impossible. He carried every reason a system might have written him off. No one did. The thing that once made him afraid to speak became the foundation of his life's work, and the source of the empathy that defines him on stage.
Today Jaime is a national bilingual keynote speaker who has reached audiences across more than thirty states and 250-plus conferences, helping students, families, and educators understand what drives them and why it matters. A USC-trained policy expert, he keynotes for thousands, coaches executive cabinets, and leads parent nights entirely in Spanish, meeting each audience in the language they speak.
His work is trusted by the California Department of Education, the Los Angeles County Office of Education, the United States Hispanic Leadership Institute, and districts from Riverside County to Omaha to Telluride. He has twice keynoted the state's Migrant Education Program conference entirely in Spanish.
